John Willard Dudley - a fisherman's friend

On January 12, 2020, Swansboro lost one of the greatest men to ever come out of this town. It is odd to think of the marina without John Willard, he played such a huge part in so many of our lives. So many people started out working at Dudley’s Marina, and they all still remember the first things John Willard ever said to them, whether it was 5 years or 45 years ago. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it, and he was always willing to shell out life or fishing advice to anyone who wanted it. He truly was a legendary man, there will never be another one like him. The marina was his life, and the community around the marina was really like a huge extended family for him. RIP - John Willard Dudley (February 7, 1939 - January 12, 2020) We’ll miss ya, bud.
